Pastor Darrell assumed the pastorate of Emmanuel Baptist Church in November of 1976. In addition to having pastored since 1971, he taught for several years at a Baptist college; and served on a Christian school board for 20 years.

Pastor Wes became co-pastor of Emmanuel Baptist Church in April of 2008 after many years of ministerial experience to lead the church into a greater emphasis in Discipleship. Having been a senior pastor, Bible college president and professor, minister of music and discipleship, and author of a discipleship program entitled: Discipleship Dynamics, God has given him the burden to equip members of this church to be able to equip others and thus carry out the command of 2 Timothy 2:2.
